MY friend has a video camera and we make videos all the time. I just want to know how to do stuff like slow motion, and adding music to the background

  1. Don’t make effects on camera, do it while editing. Whenever your video copied into computer, anything you can do using specific editing software. email me if you need further explanation.

  2. While some basic transitions and titles can be made cameras, it would be a good idea to get into some basic video editing, you can have a lot of fun with it. All you need is a firewire cable that fits (cheap but most likely was included with your camera) and some software.

If you have a mac, iMovie is a pretty powerful and easy to use basic editing program. Adding music is simply drag and drop from itunes/a folder, and slow motion and other fx are as easy as dragging them onto a video from one of the menus under Editing. If you have a PC, you might want to stop by best buy and check out what they offer.
